Vasco Valenca Sousa is currently the Chief Innovation Officer at The Brooklyn Creamery. and holds over 30 years of work experience overall. (world wide head for product creation for TBC)

A Portuguese National, Vasco, also known as Dr Ice, is known for his innovative approach to creating ice creams. He is currently heading product creation and R&D for The Brooklyn Creamery in the UAE and providing support to the Indian team as well. Vasco was the creator of the first vegan ice cream range developed and produced in the Middle East, along with being the creator of the world’s first-ever ‘mood enhancing’ ice cream range by TBC.

Before The Brooklyn Creamery, Vasco spent several years in Unilever’s ice cream division amongst other noteworthy stints. Vasco has several accolades to his name- he was a key part of the team that introduced Magnum ice creams worldwide in 1988. He is a part of the Guinness Book of World Records for being a part of the team that made the ‘Biggest Ice Cream in the World’.

Vasco holds a degree in Food Sciences and Engineering, as well as an MBA in General Management. Creating ice creams is a passion of his, along with socializing, old cars, and culinary arts.
