Chairman, GRAVISS Group

A Graduate from the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell University USA, Mr. Ravi Ghai moved to Mumbai in 1967 to manage the family businesses. In 1979, he expanded the Kwality ice cream business through a franchise network in India and the Middle East. He continued to build the organization in keeping with the core values of the family heritage and vision. In 1994 Graviss entered into a joint venture with the principals of India’s first QSR brand, Baskin Robbins and Rich Food Corporation, a world leader in non-dairy whip toppings and other food products. Under his leadership, the Nataraj Hotel in Mumbai was reconstructed in 1999 into the Iconic InterContinental Marine Drive, a landmark in Marine Drive, Mumbai.

With over four decades of experience, Mr. Ravi Ghai is a known figure in the Indian hospitality industry and serves on the board of various corporate entities and professional bodies. Apart from being an avid Golfer, he is a passionate horse racing enthusiast and has served as the chairman of the Stewards at the Royal Western India Turf Club.

Mr. Gaurav Ghai

Vice Chairman, GRAVISS Group

The third generation entrepreneur of the Ghai family, Mr. Gaurav Ghai started his first business venture while still a student at the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. After taking charge of the family business in 1999, he has successfully expanded the Group's operations pan India, the SAARC region and across the Middle East.

His vision of creating a professionally managed global conglomerate with traditional values of the 70-year-old family business led to the group being rebranded as the Graviss Group in 2001 (a name formed with the initials of every family member).

Under his leadership, the Graviss group expanded the Baskin Robbins franchise across India and SAARC region, Rich’s India is now India's largest non-dairy icings and toppings company, the Group's International foods, dairy and ice cream business is now sold in 11 countries across the Middle East Region, and are soon to be launched in the UK and EU markets.

He conceptualized many firsts: Mayfair Rooms, Mumbai's first stand-alone banquet rooms to offer 5-star facilities, Mumbai's first 5-star luxury boutique hotel, India's first internationally acclaimed terrace bar, the Dome, in 2002. Under his leadership, the Group continues its expansion in the hospitality business, through the development and management of real estate and luxury condos branded 'The Nest'.

Pankaj Chaturvedi

Executive Director & CEO, GRAVISS Group

Pankaj is a graduate in Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management, Dadar Catering College, 1991. He started his career in 1993 as Food & Beverage Manager at Venue – the Restaurant, based in Mumbai. Pankaj joined the group in 2000 as CEO for BaskinRobbins.

Since 2008 Pankaj has been the Ex director / CEO of Rich Graviss in India and a is member of Richs Asia Steering Team. Pankaj has led his team magnificently and has been working closely with Graviss group and Rich product corporation to drive India operations and support capabilities for the implementation of various projects. He was instrumental in setting up a new manufacturing unit at Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh in November 2011.

Shivan Ghai

Mr. Vikram Seth

MD, Graviss Foods

Mr. Vikram Seth, born in 1964, is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has been associated with GRAVISS Group for over 24 years and plays a key role in the overall strategic planning, management, finance, taxation and investment of the Group.

Vikram is the CEO of the Group's International ice cream and foods business and is actively involved in the expansion of the Group’s businesses in the Middle-East and other International markets.

Nisar Premji

Director–Technical, Graviss Hospitality Ltd

Nisar Premji is a capable and committed Food Scientist & Technologist. He has been associated with GRAVISS Group for almost four decades.

Nisar plays a critical role in technical collaboration with the Group’s overseas partners, and in transfer and implementation of technology. He guides and inspires associates to understand, implement, document and maintain Quality Management Systems at all levels in the organisations in order to be able to offer safe, nutritious and standardised quality of food products from GRAVISS Group companies.

Nisar represents the Group companies in Government bodies for Food Standards and Regulatory Compliance.

Romil RATRA

Executive Director & CEO : Graviss Hospitality

Romil career started with the Taj Group in 1995 and he was soon heading F&B at the Taj groups flagship hotel, The Iconic Taj Mahal Palace & Towers Hotel, Mumbai before turning entrepreneur and moving on to start his own venture in 2002. In a career spanning 25 years he has held leadership positions across businesses and has been involved in all aspects of hospitality operations, managing growth, turning around existing businesses as well as co-founding and operating new businesses as an professional entrepreneur. In previous roles Romil has been associated with The Graviss Group, IHG, Starwood, Marriott and has led the Phoenix Mills Ltd Hospitality Vertical where he was responsible for the turnaround of the regions first St. Regis Hotel as well as opening of the Marriott in Agra. A die-hard food enthusiast and travel junkie by heart, Romil believes that travelling inspires his treasure chest for knowledge. Being an avid gastronome he has successfully opened over 40 restaurants over his years in the industry and been the recipient of numerous industry awards both personally as well as for assets under his leadership.

Mohit Khattar

Chief Executive Officer - Baskin Robbins

Mohit Khattar started his career with Tata Administrative Service (TAS) in 1991 where he worked with Titan Industries Ltd in Sales & Marketing assignments across brands.

In his career spanning nearly two and half decades, he has held positions of importance and been deeply involved with developing and running several successful programs and initiatives for leading organisations including Titan, Reckitt Benckiser, Tube Investments of India Ltd (T.I.Cycles), Subhiksha and Godrej Industries Ltd.

In his previous stint as CEO and MD for Godrej Natures Basket, he played a key role in positioning and establishing the Natures Basket supermarket chain as a differentiated food retail entity. He grew the brand and its business multi-fold during his nearly 7 years stint (2009-2016) at the helm. Previous to that, as President – Marketing, Pvt label & Telecom for Subhiksha, (between 2006-2009), he was also a key contributor to the growth of the brand’s retail footprint, business and equity in India.

Mohit joined the Graviss group in Jan 2017. He currently also serves as a beachhead advisor to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise apart from being an active member of the retail fraternity in India. His passion and understanding of popular as well as gourmet food & ingredients and his expertise in food retail is well recognised.

He is a Mechanical Engineer and an MBA in Marketing, from FMS, Delhi.

Harsh Varma

MD, Real Estate

Harsh Varma comes with 28 years of rich experience in the areas of operations, business development, finance, legal and corporate matters across renowned brands and organizations in the hospitality and real estate sectors. He is a certified auditor of the Malcolm Baldridge Award for Organizational Excellence. He has completed a BA (honors) Economics degree from the University of Mumbai and holds an LLB degree in Corporate and Criminal Law from the University of Mumbai along with having a diploma in Hotel Management, Hotel Operations from the Oberoi School of Hotel Management. Harsh has worked with brands like the Oberoi, ASCOTT group, Oakwood International, Dusit International, Bombay Realty and the Lodha Group prior to joining the GRAVISS family.

Sunil Pardal

Director Procurement, GRAVISS Group

An MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Sunil Pardal, has been with GRAVISS Group for over 39 years. He joined Kwality Frozen Foods Pvt Ltd in 1977 as Accounts Executive, and was promoted as General Manager of Kwality Ice Creams in India in 1985.

In 1998 Sunil was made CEO of Rich Kwality Products Pvt Ltd. He led the organisation from infancy till Rich’s became the Market Leader in the Non-Dairy Segment. Rich’s International awarded him the President’s Award (2003) for sustained profitable growth, developing a focused and committed team and for launching Rich’s products range in every nook and corner of India.

Sunil worked as the Executive Director of GRAVISS Foods Pvt Ltd till 2013 and is presently Director Procurement, GRAVISS Group, heading Central Procurement for all the Group companies.

Suresh Srinivasan

Chief People Officer, GRAVISS Group

As Chief People Officer of the GRAVISS Group since October, 2011, Suresh Srinivasan heads HR functions of six Group companies, including Baskin Robbins Ice Creams, Rich Food Products, Pure Ice Creams (Kwality), Sharjah, UAE and InterContinental Mumbai. The job entails strategic support, direction, and organisation development.

Suresh is an astute HR professional with 28 years of hands-on experience in HR Interventions, Development, Personnel Management, Administration, Industrial Relations and Union Negotiations.

Suresh is a Coach trained by CoachU Inc., a Counsellor, a Strategic Advisor and support system to CEOs, a Motivator and Engagement expert.

He is visiting faculty at Business Schools, an expert in Assessment Centers, a trained Psychometric Test Assessor and Counsellor and has all round knowledge in Statutory Requirements and obligations in the manufacturing sector.
